Reunion… {Family Photographer}

In the beginning of July, we had the family reunion weekend! We started at a reunion for my side of the family, went to BJ’s family reunion in the middle and then came back to mine. Since Tai has been reminding me regularly to add photos from the family reunion, I am starting with images from the Idaho reunion at The Barn…. I always say that this is the most idyllic location for a family reunion. My kids always look forward to going to the Barn…boating, water-sliding, horseback riding, tire-swinging, rope-climbing FUN!

In this next picture, she turned to me with this pathetic expression and I said to her: “Foof, you look so sad.” She looked right at me with a huge smile and exclaimed, “I KNOW!!!” She knows she can work the camera and she loves it!

And then she was done…

With one last smile for the camera:

I love my little Foof! When she is playing house, she will assign out the roles: You be the Dad. You be the Mom. I’ll be the Honey. Apparently, I call my kids “honey” a lot!

I just came across pictures from a session last fall that I never posted on the blog. They are so beautiful, I just had to share. It is funny how just looking at these pictures makes me excited for autumn. I have been saying all along that I am just soaking in the beautiful summer weather and that I just can’t get enough of it. But, it is so fun to live in a place where we really enjoy 4 true seasons. Each season offers so much to look forward to. Today, I am thinking about pumpkin spice cookies, hot apple cider, clam chowder & chili after a full night of trick-or-treating, searching for the perfect pumpkin at the local Pumpkin Patch…. Doesn’t that just sound exciting?!? But, maybe just not quite yet. I still need to get in a bit more swimming, watermelon, bike riding and boating!

Our family has a new addition…LUCKY! He is a 2 year old yorkie and we could not be happier about our little dog. He graduated from obedience school on Saturday and can do some fun tricks, which the girls think is amazing. He is potty trained, which I think is amazing He can sit, sit pretty (on hind legs), lay down, and “go to bed.” We are currently working on “roll over.” He LOVES the piano and will go sit next to the piano bench until someone obliges him and plays him a song. He is a little ball of love!
